The brief

What was wrong

A forty year old family glazier competing against national window firms whose entire model is a three hour in home sales pitch and a price that drops if you sign tonight.

The thinking

How we read the brand

The whole positioning is the opposite of that, so the headline says it: know what your windows will cost before anyone knocks on your door. Four questions and a live estimate that moves as you answer, with what is included spelled out next to it. A separate fast lane sits alongside for broken and misted glass, because that customer is not shopping, they are in a hurry.

The result

What it does now

The estimate does the qualifying that a salesman used to do in someone's living room. People who want a survey have already seen the range and accepted it, and the emergency jobs skip the whole thing and go straight to the phone.

Every screen, as it really renders.

Captured from the live site at full width. Nothing here is a mockup or a flattering crop.

Home

The promise is a price without a salesman in your house, so the promise is the headline.

Instant estimate

Four questions, a live range, and the inclusions listed beside it so the number is believable.

Repairs

A separate lane for broken or misted glass. That customer needs a phone number, not a quote builder.

On a phone

Most of the traffic to a site like this arrives on a phone, so the mobile layout is designed first and the desktop version follows it.

The same site at 430 pixels wide. Type resizes rather than shrinks, the navigation collapses into something you can reach with a thumb, and every image is served at a size that will actually load on mobile data.
